On Friday, August 25, 2023, drummer John Ramsay appeared with the Bruce Sklar Sextet in the opening performance of the 2023 Stowe Jazz Festival in Stowe, Vermont. The group performed on the festival’s Alchemist Mainstage, helping launch a weekend celebration of world-class jazz in the heart of Vermont.

Led by pianist Bruce Sklar, the sextet featured an exceptional lineup: Bruce Sklar, piano; John Ramsay, drums; Greg Ryan, bass; Michael Zsoldos, tenor saxophone; Tom Gershwin, trumpet; and Freddie Bryant, guitar. The performance highlighted Ramsay’s versatility and continuing work with accomplished ensembles in both festival and concert settings.
